Harold Ray Walker, 83, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Pawkelek officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

A son of the late Martha “Maddie Mae” (Sherwood) Walker and Clarence Ray Walker, Ray was born on June 24, 1943, in Tarrant County, Texas.

Ray, as he was known by his family and friends, graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1961. He later attended Midwestern State University, where he pursued studies in business administration. Ray spent most of his career working as a project construction superintendent.

Ray enjoyed boating, fishing, football, and music. One of his greatest passions was singing karaoke. He especially loved singing songs by Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley and spent many Monday afternoons at the Wichita Falls Senior Zone singing his heart out. Music brought Ray great joy, and he enjoyed sharing that joy with those around him.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Maddie Mae and Clarence Walker, and his former wives, Patricia Dannell Walker and Barbara June Johnson.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Cheryl Ann Branch and her husband, Boyd Branch; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ray will be remembered for his love of music, the outdoors, and the many good times he shared with family and friends.
