Hazel D. Gonzalez, 79, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th in Lunn's Colonial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Helen (Landreth) and Carsley Russell, Hazel was born on August 10, 1945, in Carmi, Illinois. She was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold. Hazel worked for 20 years at a cleaners pressing shirts, working hard through her years to make sure her family was provided for. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed doing her puzzles and making blankets for her grand kids. With a cigarette in her mouth every morning, she got up and drank her Diet Coke and watched her cowboy shows. Her family knew not to mess with her if she didn't have her Diet Coke (lol). Hazel was a blessing to this earth.

Along with her parents, Hazel was also preceded in death by Lorenzo Gonzalez Jimmy Bustillos  Jerry James and Joe James Erma Sutton and her great grand son Aries Bustillos and Brenda James Dorthey Russell.

She is survived by Paula Bustillos (Rodney Williams), Ed James (Christy Mulliens, Ervin James, Linda Schellenberg, Cathy Niehaus and Donal Russell.
