Herman Ray Wilson, 84, of Wichita Falls, Texas, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday June 19th, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 20th, at Lunn's Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Herman was born in Eastland County to the late Fredrick Wilson and Verna (Lambert) on February 9, 1941. He was a devoted brother, husband, father and Paw Paw to his family. He graduated from Cisco High school in 1960, and married the love of his life, Judy Brown on August 26, 1961.  He went to North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, for three months before moving to Abilene and attending Hardin Simmons University from 1962 to 1966. Herman and Judy had three children during the marriage. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls until health reasons kept him more home bound. Herman served as a deacon at Wylie Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas from 1984 until 1995 when they moved to Wichita Falls.  He was a 32nd degree mason and member of the Masonic Lodge in Abilene, Texas. He was actively involved in Youth Baseball in Lubbock, Texas, as a coach, umpire, and league official from 1970 to 1983.  Herman was a businessman and owner of furniture stores most of his life.  He enjoyed photography, fishing, golf and spending time with his family.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edna Faye Wilson Harris; brothers, Dean, Wayne, Max, Jackie Don and Jerry; and sister, Bertha.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Judy; son, Greg and wife Jill; daughters, Angela Wilson Flores; Christy Wilson Beam and husband Kevin; brothers Billy and wife Jo; and Jimmy and wife Carolyn; sisters Linda Oates and husband Larry; Sandra Putney; Joan Gerhardt and husband Larry; Janie McIntire and husband Marcus; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
