James Michael Geary, 92, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  Visitation will be held at Lunn's Funeral Home on November 24, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

James (Jim) was the son of the late Esther (Fogarty Lynch) and James Carroll Geary and was born on May 9, 1931, in Butte, Montana.  He was raised in Butte, and served in the United States Navy and the National Guard.   He met the love of his life Marian Aileen Kenfield in 1954, and they were married on July 10, 1955, and shared 66 years together before her death in 2021.

Jim was a Commissary Officer with the Air Force, and with his family, lived in several states during his life.  He and his wife loved to travel whether it be to see family or to a new adventure.  He was involved with his children's and grandchildren's activities and was a volunteer for several organizations including Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society.  Jim was also very involved in his Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the RCIA.

Along with his parents and his wife, Jim was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Joyce Burch; and his brother-in-law John Crossman.

He is survived by his children,  Elaine and Alan McKinney, (Wichita Falls TX),  Mike and Sandra Geary (Harriman WY), Kathleen and Mark Broadway (Graford TX), Tim and Laura Geary (Belton MO), Jim and Josi Geary (Pasco WA), and Molly and Mike Matthews (Wichita Falls TX).  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren; and his sister Maureen Crossman (Butte MT).

The family offers special thanks to the wonderful staff of House of Hope for their exceptional care of our father during his time there.
