Jane Ellen (Wagner) Macha, 63, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away at her home on December 28, 2025, after a lengthy and courageous battle against glioblastoma brain cancer (for almost 7 years) marked by her inspirational resilience, determination, and grace.  She was born on February 15, 1962, in La Porte, Indiana, to William Alfred and Karen Ruth (Moser) Wagner, the youngest of five children.  Jane's father died in 1975 when she was 13 years of age, and in 1983 her mother married Don A. Hamlin.  Jane married Barry Louis Macha on April 28, 1990, at Our Lady Queen of Peace (OLQP) Catholic Church in Wichita Falls.

A family visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at OLQP with the Very Reverend Kyle Walterscheid officiating; a rosary at 10:30 a.m. will precede the funeral Mass. Interment at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home will follow the funeral Mass.

Jane is survived by her husband, Barry, and their daughter, Hannah Jean ("Scout") Macha; mother, Karen Hamlin; sisters Ann (Chuck) Bentley of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary Sheppard of Richardson, Texas, and Susan (John) Walsh of Peoria, Arizona; stepsisters Kathy (Dan) Miner, Mary (George) Wetherill; stepbrothers Mark, John (Kim), and Matt (Tamara) Hamlin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including her best friend since their days at Midwestern State University (MSU), Andrea Nichols; and her beloved dog, Menno.  Along with her father, William Alfred Wagner, and stepfather, Don A. Hamlin, Jane was preceded in death by her son, Eric Joseph Macha; brother, William Alfred ("Bill") Wagner, Jr.; stepbrothers Mike Hamlin and Steve Hamlin; brother-in-law, John Sheppard, and sister-in-law, Anita (Macha) Jackson.

Jane grew up in Normal, Illinois where her dad was employed as a director of music education and high school bands in the public schools there.  He later accepted a similar position in Carson City, Nevada, and following her father's death there in 1975, Jane's family moved to Texas.  She became a proud graduate of MSU in 1984 (Bachelor of Business Administration), having worked her way through school waiting tables at O'Phelan's Restaurant (a pub located by the French Quarter Apartments near MSU) and the Boston Tea Party (at Weeks Mansion).  Jane was an avid snow skier and an accomplished triathlete, particularly as a cyclist. She ran several marathons and qualified for the Boston Marathon.

When Jane married Barry, she converted to Catholicism, and the couple were active members of the OLQP parish. She was a member of the OLQP Altar Society (St. Jude Circle) and a founding member of the OLQP Chapter of Catholic Daughters.  She was also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Wichita Falls, and her local board service included the Girl Scouts, Hands to Hands Community Fund, and Backdoor Theatre.

Jane's family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding medical and rehabilitative personnel who assisted Jane: the doctors at M.D. Anderson in Houston including her surgeon Dr. Sujit Prahbu (who accepted her there as a patient) and oncologist Dr. Monica Loghin; her local doctors including Dr. Sharon Paloma, Dr. Richard L. Kern, Dr. Srikar Malireddy, Dr. Jessica Schultz, and Dr. Cameron Godfrey; and Hospice of Wichita Falls, Healing Hands Healthcare, Palliative Care of North Texas, United Regional Center for Advanced Orthopedics, and North Texas Rehabilitation Center.
