Janet K. Findley, 73, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17 ^th at Edgemere Church of Christ with Scott Franks and Ken Holsberry officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

The daughter of Nell (Reeves) and Roy Kimberlain, Janet was born on December 17, 1947, in Wichita Falls. At 17, Janet married her childhood sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Findley, and they began a life together that would span almost 58 years. Janet and Dick were blessed with three sons, Scott, Kirk and Jon Paul (JP), whom they spiritually nourished throughout their lives at Edgemere Church of Christ. Janet was a loving mother who was kind, gentle and faithful. She was involved in the youth ministry at Edgemere and was a devoted leader in not only her sons' religious journeys, but also that of many other young people at church, as well as her beloved grandchildren.

Janet earned a Bachelor's degree in education from Midwestern State University with an emphasis in English. She taught many years at Alamo Elementary and at Wichita Christian School. Along with teaching in public and private schools, Janet taught Bible classes and Vacation Bible School at Edgemere.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Roy Kimberlain; and her aunt, Sue Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dick Findley; mother, Nell Kimberlain; sons, Scott Findley and wife, Gayle; Kirk Findley and wife, Stacey; and JP Findley and wife, Michelle Emanuelli; brother, Royce Kimberlain and wife, Marcie; grandchildren, Evan Findley, Jenna Findley, Andrew Findley and wife, Eden; Ryan Findley, Jordan Findley, Andre Colon Emanuelli, Camden Findley, Greyson Findley, Analyn Findley and Kinsler Findley; and great-granddaughter, Selah Grace Findley.
