Janie Miller 76, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

A Christian wake will held be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23rd, at Lunn's, followed by a visitation. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jonathan Demma officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Nanse Jane " Janie" Ogle Miller and her twin brother were born on December 24, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Arthur Phillip "Red" and Jean Pearce Ogle. Santa Claus didn't come that year, as her older brother Paul pointed out when their father shared the news that his new siblings had arrived. Janie grew up in South Dallas and moved to Petrolia, Texas as teenager. Janie was a good student and an avid reader. At Petrolia High School she played basketball and graduated in 1966. Janie earned her Radiology Technologist Certification at Bethania Hospital.

Janie married Keith Miller on November 27, 1967, in Waurika, Oklahona. They welcomed Richard Keith in 1968 and Amye Marie in 1973. In 1976, they built their home on the Miller Family Farm.

Janie worked for Dr. David Borman for 20 years as his X-ray technician. She also worked at Clinics of North Texas and finished her career at Texas Oncology as a CT technician.

Janie was always helpful and volunteered as coach, den mom and room mother for both of her children. She served as President of the Notre Dame Booster Club and helped the school every year at their annual Spring Festival.

After her retirement she was a member of the Cattle Women's Association, the Sacred Heart Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.

Janie's grandchildren were her greatest joy. She went to every sporting event whether it was softball, baseball, soccer, football, go-kart racing, swim meet or water polo match. Grammy was their biggest fan and had the t-shirts to prove it.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Keith; her parents and her in-laws Al and Celeste Miller; her brothers Paul and Bud Ogle; and her sister Robin Andersen; her brothers-in-law Danny Miller and Neil Hull and her sister-in-law Diane Miller Schenk.

Janie is survived by her son Richard Miller of Archer County, TX; and her daughter Amye Miller of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kolton Miller of Archer City, TX.; Andrew Engberson of Philadelphia, PA; and Emily Engberson of Angleton, TX; her twin Brother Mark Ogle of Kosse, TX; and her sisters-in-law Karen Hull of Archer County, TX; and Brenda Ogle of Arlington; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews..

Janie never met a stranger. She was kind and generous and welcomed everyone into her home. She set such an excellent example for her family on how to treat others. She will be greatly missed.
