Jerrie Gail Johnson Moore was a remarkable woman of compassion and faith. She was born on May 2, 1953, to Grover Cleveland Johnson Jr. and Bettie Rhea Lane Johnson. Jerrie graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1971, where she participated in many school activities. She loved choir and tennis and was exceptionally accomplished at both. She went to be with her savior on August 13, 2024.

She was a pillar of strength and love for her family, and all who knew and loved her. Her walk through this life was filled with accomplishments and she touched the hearts of everyone she met.

Jerrie will be remembered for her dedication and caring heart for her patients that she ministered to during her career as a respiratory therapist, a registered nurse, and a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

In her spare time and in retirement she loved to nurture her flowers just as she nurtured her family and friends. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed creating things with her hands.

Jerrie's legacy of love and compassion will live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories of her unwavering love and kindness toward others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Bettie; and her brother, Richard Wayne Johnson.

Jerrie is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Kelly Pearson; Kacey Shelton and husband Russell; grandchildren, Travis Nixon and wife Crystal; Garret, Grayson and Aubrie; great grandchildren Aiden, Adriana and Alivia.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18th at Lunn's Colonial Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19th at Grace Church with Reverend Reggie Coe officiating. Interment is to follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
