Jerry R. Floyd, 79, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Graveside services will at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7 ^th at Crestview Memorial Park with Ike Butterworth officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Hetty Bea (Canon) and Clyde Roland Floyd, Jerry was born on January 14, 1942, in Glendale, Arkansas. Jerry graduated from Paducah High School in 1960 then attended Midwestern State University where he received a bachelor's and master's degree in music education. He met his wife Sandra Kay Shaver while attending Midwestern and they got married December 19, 1964.  He was a band director for over 35 years at Waurika High school (1964-1965), Crowell High School (1965-1969), Bowie Junior High (1969-1976), Bowie High School (1976-1979), Zundy Junior High and Wichita Falls High School (1980-1989), Petrolia High School (1989-1992), and Burkburnett High School (1992-2000). While at Petrolia, he had a class A state honor band in 1991-1992. He was a member of the Phi Beta Mu International School Bandmaster Fraternity. In his free time, Jerry loved to golf, fish, crochet, and spend time with his grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Floyd.

He is survived by his children, Vicki Lyn Blehm and husband Kallon of Carnegie, Oklahoma; a son Jeffrey Alan Floyd; a sister Rosemary Aubrey and her husband Travis of Andrews, Texas, and grand-daughters Kennedy Lyn Adams of Dallas, Texas, and Taylor Nicole Floyd of Denton, Texas.
