Jeyne (Stipe) Peysen King, daughter of the late James and Lula Mae Stipe, was born December 28, 1939, in Devol, Oklahoma. Jeyne was born second to a twin sister, Jayne Stipe Wiist.  She passed into life eternal on April 10, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She was 83 years of age.

At an early age, Jeyne was employed at Carnation Milk in Wichita Falls, Texas.  From there, she worked at Levi Strauss for 32 years until retirement.  Jeyne professed a devoted faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended local congregations when she was physically able.  She voluntarily served in food and clothing charity organizations and was well known for the beautiful iris and poppies she would grow annually.

Jeyne was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lula Mae Stipe, husband Walter (Dugan) Stewart, husband Gerald Peysen, husband Terry King, brothers James Perry Stipe and Floyd Stipe, and sisters Leota Mae Harvey and Billie Jossie Broughton, and grandson Nathan Stewart.

She is survived by her 4 children, Michael Stewart (and wife Diane), Elizabeth Reeves, Mark Peysen, and Matthew Christopher Peysen, sister Jayne Wiist (and husband Milton), and 11 grandchildren, Kori Stewart, Rena Biggs, April Glover, Randy Reeves, Kellie Woodward, Heather Peysen, Ashley Hawkins, Bethany Peysen, Matthew Peysen, Mitchell Peysen, Michael Peysen, and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 13th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14th, 2023, at 1:00pm at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Senior Pastor James A. Sterling, D.Min., of Christ's Community Fellowship will preside over the services.  Graveside services will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
