Jim L. Lowder, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born on August 15, 1937, Olney, Texas.

Jim was a deeply spiritual man who loved the Lord. He passed out tracks and prayed with many to receive Christ.  Jim was known for praising the Lord no matter the circumstance, and will always be remembered for saying "Keep looking up He (Christ) is coming." In fact he enjoyed celebrating his spiritual birthday the most that was on January 1, 1962.  He was an inspiration to all who knew him, and he was loved, and, admired by many. The impact of Jim's life and his lifelong dedication to serving the Lord will be felt for years to come. If Jim was not sharing his love of God, you could find him working on his residential and commercial properties. Jim was also the CEO and owner of Jiffy Food Stores in years past, as well as president of the North Texas Grocer's Association for two years. He was a Gold Coat Ambassador in Wichita Falls. Also, he served in the United States Army in Germany for three years. In his free time, he enjoyed antiquing and traveling with his wife, Cecilia Kay (Roling) Lowder. They were married for 64 wonderful years.

Jim was survived by his devoted wife, and their three children: daughter, Alisia Kay Lowder, son and evangelist, Jay Lowder, daughter-in-law, Missy Jancik Lowder, grandchildren, Lane, Kayley, and Graham. daughter, Alara Lowder O'Neall, son-in-law, Charles Henry O'Neall, and grandchildren, Kaytlin, Chandler, Caleb.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th at Lunn's. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th at Lunn's. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
