Jim passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile. Despite his struggles, he stayed strong until the last few days of his life.

Jim was born in Elmer, OK on November 20, 1931, to Ed and Gurty Graham.

Jim met the love of his life, Joan Stroud in the 4th grade. He chased her around through both Junior and Senior High School, until the National Guard, for which he signed up for to "Protect the Homefront", took him and several of his high-school buddies on a boat ride to Korea for an extended vacation.

Upon his return Stateside, he completed his high school education, Joan requiring such before she would marry him. After their wedding on October 3, 1954, they moved to Okmulgee, OK to attend Oklahoma A&M Technical School. Upon graduation, his employment with Sears and Roebuck Company transferred him to Wichita Falls in 1956, where he remained until he retired in 1989 after 34 years of service.

Jim and Joan were blessed with three children, Susan, Kerry, and Donna. He loved being with all of his family, especially for holiday gatherings.   Jim was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ for 64 years, having served as deacon for several decades. He and Joan traveled with many of their friends, camping all over for many years. Jim loved to fish, play dominoes, and sit around a campfire telling stories, always keeping an eye on the dinner table!!!

He had 3 brothers and 1 sister, all preceding him in death.

Jim is survived by Joan, his wife of 67 years; their three children, Susan Willson and her husband Alvin, Kerry Graham and his wife Linda, and Donna Guthrie and her husband Ross; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and their families: Derek Jones and his wife Monica and their three children Bailee Boedeker, Parker Jones and Landon Jones; Marisa Pennington and her two sons Conrad and Karson; Melissa Chase and her husband Matt and their three daughters Lauren, Hanna, and Katelyn; Sarah Guthrie Clark and her husband Trae and their daughter Raegan; Drew Guthrie and his wife Jacey; and nephews and a host of dear friends.
