Jimmy Ray Johnston, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, surrounded by family.

A graveside service will be held at Crestview Memorial Park where his ashes will be-laid to rest in the family plot at a later date.

A son of the late Margaret Jenetta (Caldwell) and the late Lamar Meriwether Johnston, Jimmy was born on December 11, 1944, in Graham, Texas. He retired from Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas, where he was the Facilities Planner for 20 years.

Previously Jimmy was the Owner, Broker Real Estate Agent and Principle Designer of The Johnston Group, Austin, Texas. He specialized in design and layout of luxury homes, condos and gated communities in Westlake, Austin, and St. Tropez on Lake Austin, in Austin, Texas. Jimmy was a graduate of Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, John Johnston; and his niece, Indy Johnston.

He is survived by his husband, Craig Crowell of Wichita Falls, Texas; brothers and sisters, Tommy Johnston and wife Kathy; Barbara Martin and husband Chris; Danny Johnston and wife Kim; and Linda Johnston; nieces and nephews, Tommy Johnston Jr., Todd Martin, Brad Martin, Tasha Leuzinger, Tammy Walker, Carrie Coleman, Chad Johnston and Stephany Walker; plus many grand-nieces and nephews.
