Joail Gordon Brown Jr, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Lunn's chapel. Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

The son of the late Joail Gordon Brown, Sr and Pearl Brown, Joail was born May 4, 1933, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1954 as an Airplane Mechanics Helper. After his service he returned home to Wichita Falls. He worked various jobs over his lifetime and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor at Ciba-Geigy in Burkburnett, Texas.

He could always be found outside building or repairing things around the house and had a vast collection on Louis L'Amour western novels to read when the weather would not allow him to be outside.

In November of 1964 he married to love of his life Ethel Carothers. Together they enjoyed a blessed life of almost 55 years together.

Joail is survived by son, Kevin Brown and wife Deanna; daughter Marnee Fishgrab and husband Jerry Wayne Fishgrab; and grandchildren, Cody, Garrett and Makenna Fishgrab. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel and his sister Carla King
