Joan Baumann, 81, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Falls from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Wichita Falls at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Arrangements under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Born in San Francisco to a military family, Joan started moving after WWII when the family joined together in Austria. While in Europe, she visited several European countries. After returning to the USA, Joan visited all 50 states, ending up in Sacramento, California. She obtained a degree in Business Administration/Personnel Management from Sacramento State University. College is where she met Robert, and they married in August of 1965.

After the children arrived, Joan stayed home to raise the girls. Joan worked off and on and actively volunteered in the community. She was awarded the John Henry Cardinal Newman award and employee of the month.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, John and Frances Fronk; and brother, Jack Fronk.

Joan is survived by three daughters: Sandra Croson, Karen Baumann, and Janet Baumann; grandchildren Christopher Croson and wife Kourtny, Kimberly Croson, and Asa Baumann; and one soon to be great-grandson.
