JoAnn Gaines, 88, of Wichita Falls, passed away on February 10, 2021. Services are planned for Monday, February 22, 2021 at Lunn's Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Her nephew, David Sledge, will preside over the service. The family will welcome visitors prior to the service at 1:00pm.

JoAnn was born on September 17, 1932 in Levelland, TX to Buster and Eleanor Wolfe. She married Glyn Gaines on April 15, 1954. Jo worked for several years as a medical receptionist for Dr. Siebold and Dr. Gregory as a medical receptionist, which was a great fit for her outgoing personality.  Jo was most proud of her family and enjoyed  spending time with them.  In her spare time, she and Glyn enjoyed traveling, camping, and chili cook-offs. They were active in CASI, raising money for charity and enjoying the many friends they made there.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glyn, and an older brother, Arnold Wolfe.

JoAnn leaves behind a daughter, Glynda Dowling (Bryan Dowling), grandchildren:  Brynlee Dowling Azevedo (Tyler Azevedo), Baxter Dowling, Byron Dowling, and Brock Dowling, great granddaughters: Elisha and Eden Azevedo.  She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Sledge (Gerald Sledge), Nancy Ritchie (Chris Parker),  several nieces and nephews, and friends that she regarded as family.
