Dr John J. Hempfling, 75, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away suddenly on June 11, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 21st, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family welcomes friends to a visitation following the service.

Son of late Frederick  P. Hempfling and Esther (Rahrig) Hempfling, John was born on September 24, 1949, in Delphos, Ohio. John opened his own dental office right out of dental school. He practiced dentistry in Wichita Falls for 48 years. He was an avid biker, model train enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting, gardening and many trips to Santa Fe collecting Southwestern art.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Esther Rahrig Hempfling and his brother Fred Hempfling.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Hempfling, and his sister Jane Hempfling Spieles and her husband Larry, and many nieces and nephews.
