John Henry "Jack" Brantley, 87, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, just two hours shy of his 88th birthday.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 1, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. The family invites friends to a visitation immediately following the service.

Jack was born on July 29, 1937, in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, to the late Irene (Wolfe) and John Menoher. After losing both parents at a young age, he was lovingly raised by his four older sisters. In his late teens, while working as a bell boy at a hotel in Abilene, Texas, Jack observed that the male cosmetologists all seemed to have fast cars and attract beautiful women, an observation that sparked a lifelong career in hair styling. In the early 1960s, Jack founded Continental Hair Styling in Wichita Falls, which quickly became a thriving and well-loved local business. He married Jolene Neer in 1964, and together they raised three children.

Jack was a man of many passions. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time in his yard. His favorite retreat was Ruidoso, New Mexico, where he enjoyed the cool mountain air, looking for bears, the horse races, and the casinos, all in the company of his family.

A devoted husband, father, granddad, and great-granddad, Jack's greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife, three children, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Jack will be remembered for his servant's heart and unwavering kindness. He never put himself first, and those around him, whether family, clients, or lifelong friends—adored him for his patience, gentle spirit, and purposeful way of living. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humility, and quiet strength that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John Earl Menoher and Irene Wolfe Menoher, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jolene Brantley, and their three children: Mike Brantley and wife Darla of Tulsa, OK; Melissa Curtis of Wichita Falls; and Lynn Hall and husband Chuck of Wichita Falls. Jack was a proud grandfather to Andy Cadle, Elaina Gage, Haley Owen, Macey Schniederjan, Chase Hall, and Alex Brantley, and a loving great-grandfather to Kaden, Gage, Gannon, Sutton, Max, Briar, and Scottie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls whose loving care in his final days was so deeply appreciated.
