John Rudowski, Jr. was born on August 4, 1944 in Hobbs, New Mexico and passed away on December 6, 2024.

Memorial Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wichita Falls, Texas. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Oscoda, Michigan.

John was raised in Foster, Oklahoma. He joined the Army National Guard in 1960 then cross-trained into the U.S. Air Force. While stationed at Wurtsmith A.F.B. in Michigan he married Theresa Amley. John left the Air Force in 1969 and joined the Wichita Falls, Texas, police department where he served for 17 years.

In 1986 John moved his family to Oscado, Michigan, where he served on the Tawas City-East Tawas Police Department for 15 years, retiring in 2001. Following his retirement, John worked for Buresh Funeral Homes in Oscoda for 20 years. John and Theresa returned to Wichita Falls in 2021.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa;  two sons,Michael of Bellevue, Nebraska; and Richard and wife Michelle of Oscado, Michigan; three daughters, Tess Weed and husband Aaron of Troy Ohio; Maryann Mawson and husband David of Wichita Falls, TX; and Dianne Branum and husband, T.J. of Yorktown, VA; 11 grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother and three sisters.

John was preceded in death by a son, John Patrick.
