Johnnie Thomas Veal, Jr., age 92, passed away on May 12, 2026 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 18, 2026 in the Heritage Church. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Johnnie was born August 16, 1933 to Johnnie Thomas and Jewell (King) Veal, Sr. in Wichita Falls, Texas. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps. He was Honorably Discharged and held the rank of Sergeant.

Johnnie married Patsy Jo Foutch on November 13, 1992 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked as a railroad conductor with the Burlington Northern Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He retired after 37 years of dedicated service to his profession.

He was a charter member of Heritage Church and was born again on February 7, 1960 and lived for Jesus the remainder of his life. He always tried to let his light shine with grace and humor.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Forest Edward Veal and sister, Neva Farris.

He is survived by his loving wife Patsy Veal; three sons, Timothy Veal, Johnny Veal and Larry Veal; a brother, Clifford Veal; four grandchildren, Justin Veal, Courtney Veal, Brady Veal and Lauren Veal; four great grandchildren, Jaina Veal, Jolee Veal, Jewell Veal and Chloe Grace Mitchell.

Memorials can be made to the Prime Timers C/O Heritage Church or to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
