Jordan Lea Darnell, age 33, of Wichita Falls, Tx, entered the gates of Heaven and received her angel wings on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at URHCS due to COVID-19.  She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

Jordan is the daughter of Scott Darnell and Lori Mercer Darnell.  Jordan was born on August 11, 1987 in Denton, TX.  She is the sister of Wes and Chris Darnell.  She is mother to her fur baby Barbosa.

Jordan attended Young Ages Preschool, Fain Elementary, Barwise Jr. High, Rider High School, graduate of 2005, and Midwestern State University.  She was a member of the choir and orchestra at Fain, the choir, band and orchestra at Barwise, and band, orchestra and Acapella choir at Rider.  She was involved in Key Club throughout Jr. High and High School.  At MSU she was a member of Circle K.  She sponsored the Key Club at Rider for a few years during college.

Jordan received her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from West College of Education at Midwestern State University on December 13, 2014.

Jordan played soccer for the WF Babes.  She took ballet, tap, and lyrical dance from Reggie Milam for many years at Dance, etc.

Jordan was involved with Special Olympics from the age of 12.  She assisted her brother, Wes, and many other athletes in all areas of competition.  She enjoyed coaching the Special Olympics Cheerleaders.

Jordan worked for Hobby Lobby, The Arc of Wichita Falls and WFISD as a Special Education teacher at Hirschi High School since 2015. She sponsored the Hirschi HiLites Dance Team, always finding dance camps that the girls would enjoy attending.

Jordan was a part of Big Sisters/Big Brothers.  Her Little Sis was Telicia Gutierrez.  Jordan and Telicia remained close friends.

Jordan was a church member at Colonial Baptist Church.  While in high school and throughout college she was a Sunday School teacher.

Jordan is preceded in death by her grandparents, "Coach" Morris Mercer, Beth Mercer, Charlie Darnell, and cousin Matt Mercer.

She is survived by parents Scott and Lori Mercer Darnell, brothers Wes and Chris Darnell, Grandmother, Judy Darnell.  Aunts/Uncles: Marilyn and Bill Andersen, Bill and Kim Mercer, Jon Darnell, June Burkham, Wayne and Alice Williams.  Cousins: Christi and Adrian Montellano, Tori Montellano, McKenzie and Chase Henderson, baby Jake Henderson, Katie and Robby Wilson, Hannah, Henlee, and Emory Wilson, Keldon and Ashli Fischer, Kolby, Karoline and Kora Fischer, Haley and Matt Tucker, Vivian, Nora Kate and Margot Tucker, Brady Darnell, David Webb, Jackie and Bob Mann, Trevor and Andrea Williams.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19 ^th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 20 ^th in Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Mr. Mike Strickland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
