Josephine "Jo" Thomas, 93, of Wichita Falls, entered eternal life on Sunday, September 4, 2022.  A daughter of the late Willie Mae (Turner) and William Green Anderson. Jo was born on November 27, 1928, in Big Spring, Texas. She graduated from Big Spring High School.

She married Lester Thomas on February 10, 1947, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage until his death in1998. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church for 68 years where she faithfully served and taught Sunday School until 2020. She had several bookkeeping jobs through the years and most recently retired in 2018 from West Oil Company. Her most favored job was that of Mom and Grandmommie.

Along with her parents, Jo was also preceded in death by her husband Lester Edwin Thomas, brother Jordan Vernon "J.V." Anderson, brother W.E. "Pete" Anderson,

sister Frances Anderson Eden Overton.

She is survived by: her son Bill Thomas and wife Kay of Fort Worth, TX; daughter Linda Jo Thomas Weatherly and husband Vaughn of Dean, TX; five grandchildren, Chad Weatherly and wife Jessica, Paul Thomas and wife Venus, Kristen Jo Whalen and husband Heath, Brian Thomas and wife Stephanie, Jeremy Weatherly and wife Kinsley; Twelve great grandchildren, Kelsie Jo Whalen, Leslie Jo Weatherly, Elijah Thomas, Julietta Josephine Thomas, Kelli Weatherly, Preston Thomas, Emily Thomas, Ryker Weatherly, Helen Jo Weatherly, Fiona Thomas, Jaeger and Rhett Weatherly; many nieces and nephews; countless other lives that were influenced by her loving spirit, witty personality, hospitality and example of a life well lived in love for family, friends and God.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9 ^th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 ^th in Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
