Joyce Jean Craig, 76, of Holliday, passed from this world on December 23, 2021 with family by her side.

A daughter of Ruby and Virgil Hallum, Joyce was born on June 30, 1945, in Maude, Oklahoma. She was raised in Holliday, Texas where she attended school and met the love of her life John Craig and was married for 60 years. Joyce loved life and everyone around her, particularly fond of watching wide life, of crafts and trips to the casino.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband John; great grandsons Henry and Hudson Ewing, and granddaughter Rachelle Esco.

She is survived by two sisters, Joann Stone and Erma Lee Dillard both of Wichita Falls; children Kim and husband Bradley Veitenheimer of Windthorst, Texas, Johnny and wife Sondra Craig of Lake Kickapoo, Texas, Melissa and husband Alan Blackman of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sondra Craig of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandsons Derrick, Craig, John Adam, and Nathan; granddaughters Kaci, Johnna, Sarah, and Jamie; and 13 great grandchildren.

Very special thank you to Jamie Berend, granddaughter for always being there by her side whenever and wherever necessary as her advocate and her greatest care giver for the past year back in Wichita Falls Special thanks to all the staff of 9 West 1 at United Regional Hospital, Wichita Falls for their professionalism, dedication, and caregiving. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral home. A memorial service is to be announced on a later date.
