Joyce Stearman Strange, 90, of Holliday, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM. on January 7 ^th , in Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Rev. Paul Meyenberg officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jack Curd, Joe Chunn, Scott Hammel, Shane Wright, David Reynolds and Kenneth Mullens. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Parker, Dink Collins, Bart Yoder, Jay Franklin, Richard Key, Justin Coleman and Lonnie Brumley.

Joyce was born on September 6, 1930, in Wichita Falls, to the late John Len Stearman and Gwendolyn (Gwen) Miller Stearman. She attended schools in Wichita Falls, and was a charter member of Beacon Baptist Church. Joyce was a former member of the Wichita Falls Country Club Ladies Golf Association and Past-President and a member of the Archer City Country Club Ladies Golf Association. She was a member of the Cattlewomen's Association and served on the auction committee for the North Texas Rehab Center.

In 1969 Joyce married Doug D. Strange, Sr. and moved to North Archer County. She was involved in the oil and ranching business with her husband until his death in 1992, and continued in the oil business until her death.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents John and Gwenn Stearman; sister Sue Stearman Duke; husband, Doug Strange, Sr.; and faithful Schnauzer "Fanci."

She is survived by her children, Doug Strange, Jr. and wife Melanie of Holliday, TX; Frankie Parkinson and wife Gayla of Wichita Falls, TX; and Ralph Parkinson, Jr. of Gladstone, MO; brother, Don Stearman and wife, Emma of Oceanside, CA; brother-in-law John Duke of Bowie, TX; her twin grandchildren whom she adored, Marklie and Duke Strange; Billy and Brad Parkinson; Chris Parkinson and Steve Sellers; great-grandchildren, Scottie Sellers and Melissa Rahn of Arrington, TN; along with a host of wonderful nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
