Karen Hestand Curtis, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Wichita Falls on Friday, August 1, 2025.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7th at Lunn's Chapel with Mr. David Owen officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Sam and Alice Laney, Karen was born on May 10, 1939, in Wichita Falls. She worked at KLUR for a number of years as the bookkeeper and office manager. Karen will be remembered for her love of her family, her giving heart, her faith in God, and her wonderful gift choices.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Boyd Curtis; and her son David Hestand. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Long and her husband Michael; sister Donna Kelly and husband Bill; daughter-in-law Mary Hestand; 9 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
