Karen Rae Parker, 83, formerly of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where she'd moved to be close to family.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Zayda (Russell) Sears and Paul Huff, Karen was born on March 27, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas. Her true passion in life was genealogy; she loved helping others find past family, as well as finding her own lineage. Karen enjoyed any creative big or small projects, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling across the country and stopping at all the beautiful sites along the way.

Along with her parents, Karen was also preceded in death by her stepmother Rowena Huff; and her husband, Alvin Parker.

She is survived by son Darryl Parker; daughter Cheryl Harshbarger and son-in-law Mason Harshbarger; granddaughter Mercedes (Sadie) Harshbarger; and sisters, Leona Kobe, Jeanette Stick, Chiritta Ann Phelan, and Valerie Powers.
