Kathy Anne Busch Garcia passed away from Multiple Sclerosis complications on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

Kathy was born on November 28, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas, to Mildred (Mooreman) and Theodore Busch. From a young age, she had dreams of being a prima ballerina or a star on Broadway. When an injury sidelined those dreams, she chose teaching, but not any teaching-Kathy chose special education. She earned her master's in teaching from Trinity University. She then taught kindergarten and first grade students who were both hearing impaired and deaf. Kathy helped change many live throughout her career. After retiring from teaching, she taught Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church and Church of the Good Shepherd.

Along with her parents, Mimi and Ted Busch, Kathy was also preceded in death by her husband, Dan Garcia. She is survived by her daughter, Katy Garcia.
