Kathy Sue Spyra, 77, of Holliday, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Rosary and family visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27 th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28 th at Our Lady Queen of Peace with Father Alexander Ambrose officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Violet (Noe) and Neal McLean, Kathy was born on September 20, 1943, in Aurora, Missouri.  She moved to Texas with her family and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in the last graduating class before the other high schools had graduating classes.  After she married John Spyra in  June of 1964, she decided to join him in his religion and joined classes to convert to Catholicism.  After having one daughter, Helen, there were many family vacation trips around the U.S.  Her favorite place was the beach.  She loved taking trips to visit family and friends.  In her spare time, she loved to read, paint, make ceramics and crafts for family gifts.  She also was a member of Wichita Falls Insurance Women and loved to get together monthly with a group of ladies to play Bunco.

Along with her parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Man, and sister, Helen (Shug).

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Spyra; daughter, Helen Spyra; and grandson Justin.
