Kay J. Curry, 83, of Burkburnett, passed away, Wednesday December 9, 2020 in Wichita Falls Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12th at Burkburnett Cemetery in Burkburnett under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Instead of a formal visitation people are welcome to visit the funeral home and sign the book all day Friday and from 9:00 until 12:00 Saturday morning. The family requests that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing while in attendance.

A daughter of the late Leonard and Martha Lowe, Kay was born on March 16, 1937, in Ayrshire, Iowa. She met the love of her life, Charlie Curry, and they were married March 17, 1962 in Bellevue Nebraska

She was an active member of the Faith Village Church of Christ, where she taught children's classes and Sunday school, and was involved in the Ladies Bible Class.

For many years she enjoyed babysitting for many families and affectionately became known as Mama Kay to the families she babysat. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew and loved her as Kay Kay

Along with her parents, Kay was preceded in death by Charlie, her husband of 58 years, and brother Bill Lowe, sister-in-law Karilyn Lowe, and sister Sue Brachmann.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis Curry and wife, Debbie; Perry Curry and wife, Leann; and Steven Curry and fiancée Carrye Brown, all of Wichita Falls; daughter, Jana Lance and husband, Randy of Denison; Kay is survived by her siblings, Donna (John) Whitmer, Eddie Lowe, sister in law Marilyn Lowe, Pat (FG) Jones, Linda (Dale) Maruska and Terry (Virginia) Lowe besides many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Joy Hibbs and husband, Roger of Signal Mountain, TN; as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Chase, Connor, Nicholas and Alexander.
