Kevin G. Lowder, 62, of Wichita Falls, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, at Riverside Cemetery, with Rev. Don Pellikan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Kevin was born November 29, 1963, in Wichita Falls to the late Fred H. Lowder and Linda Gray Lowder.

Kevin was a beloved brother, father, friend, mentor, and servant leader who leaves behind a legacy of compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He was a Boy Scout in Troop 1, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and earned the God and Country Award. Kevin graduated from Wichita Falls High School, where he played football. He attended Southern Methodist University and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Midwestern State University.

For over 20 years, Kevin served as a head facilitator with Discovery Ministries, where his dedication helped countless individuals find freedom from addiction, pain, and life's struggles. His leadership created life-changing experiences that impacted families and communities alike.

Through his work, Kevin guided thousands of individuals seeking hope and healing. He had a rare ability to meet people where they were and walk alongside them toward renewal. His passion for helping others led him to a career as an investigator with Child and Adult Protective Services, from which he retired. He was also a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls.

Kevin cherished time spent with family and friends at Possum Kingdom Lake. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and attending family reunions, and he especially looked forward to watching the Fourth of July fireworks each summer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. Lowder and Linda Gray Lowder.

Kevin is survived by his son, Kayden Gray Lowder; his brother, Steve Lowder; and his nephew and niece, Woody Lowder and Libby Buckley.

Kevin's passion for helping others will continue to echo through the many lives he touched. He will be remembered for his honesty, quiet strength, and deep empathy. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and in the countless people he helped find hope, healing, and freedom.

He leaves behind a community forever grateful for his influence, friendship, and unwavering commitment to helping others live in truth and freedom. Kevin's spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those he loved and served so faithfully.
