Kristin Lewis Schuele, 57, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, 25 May 2025.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, 31 May 2025, at First Christian Church with Dr. Mark Bender and Dr. David Hartman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Phyllis (Isherwood) and Joseph Leonard Lewis, Kristin was born on June 18, 1967, in Wichita Falls.

In 1987, she married the love of her life, H.-P., who, at the time attended the Euro NATO Joint Jet Training Program (ENJJPT) at Sheppard AFB. After his graduation, they moved to George AFB, CA where H.-P. completed his training in the mighty F-4, McDonnell Douglas Phantom II.

They spent the next 8 years in Germany. During that time, Kristin completed her degree in Medical Technology and started working in the local hospital laboratory. They moved back to Holloman AFB, NM in 1992, where H.-P. had the privilege to attend the prestigious German Air Force Fighter Weapons Instructor Course.

Upon their return to Germany, Kristin started in medical research at a nearby University Hospital. They returned to Wichita Falls in late 1995, where H.-P. finished his military career as instructor pilot at Sheppard AFB, TX, and Kristin completed her next degree at Midwestern State University. Kristin was instrumental in launching North Texas Research Associates in Wichita Falls as a Clinical Research Coordinator under the guidance of Dr. Danny Bartel. Moving on, Kristin went into Pharmaceutical Sales and was an integral part of launching several new drugs, including Crestor.

Kristin's passion has always been medical research, and she had the opportunity to work for multiple international Clinical Research Organizations. In her role as Clinical Research Associate, Kristin oversaw testing of many new Oncology medicines nation wide. She enjoyed her weekly travels, even if it involved many rescue trips by H.-P., who had to pick her up from DFW because the last flight into Wichita Falls was either cancelled, or she was otherwise unable to make the connection.

Kristin and H.-P enjoyed Ballroom Dancing and taught lessons during their time in Germany and in Wichita Falls upon their return. They enjoyed traveling and created many unforgettable memories flying their airplane across the United States, and, most importantly, spending valuable time together.

Kristin was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 38 years, H.-P. Schuele, and so many friends who loved and cherished her, and always will.
