Kylie Brynn Mills, 16, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Kylie was born on October 1, 2009, to Michael and Ashley Mills. From the day she was born, Kylie had a heart of gold — a heart for her family, her friends, her community, and her puppies. Her most special relationship, though, was with her brother Mason, whom she always called her best friend. The bond they shared lasted all of their days and will last both a lifetime and throughout eternity.

Kylie was a friend to everyone and had a true servant's heart. She loved giving back and often dedicated her birthdays, and the gifts she received, to helping others. Each year, she thoughtfully planned birthday celebrations centered around serving the community. Her projects included lemonade stands to raise money for the Humane Society of Wichita Falls, a food drive scavenger hunt benefiting the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, and another lemonade stand to help provide a wheelchair for her sweet friend's sister, who was diagnosed with SMA. That same friend later honored Kylie with a lemonade stand of her own.

Kylie loved many things, but her favorites were always God, family, friends, travel and adventure, tennis, shopping, and snow skiing with her cousins. She grew up playing all the sports and making friends along the way, but tennis became her true passion. She was looking forward to being part of the inaugural tennis team at Legacy High School.

Kylie also loved traveling with her family, experiencing different cultures, and discovering new places. She even created a bucket list of adventures, including asking her dad to take her to Iceland for her 18th birthday.

Kylie is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Ashley Mills; her brother, Mason Mills of Wichita Falls; grandparents Mike and Janice Mills of Wichita Falls, Cindy Sanders of Wichita Falls, and Lynn Lawler of Era, Texas; her aunt and uncle Brad and Shelly Mills and their children Maddie and Luke of Wichita Falls; Trent and Kristen Lawler and their children Logan, Lane, and Ellie of Era; Jennifer Cook and her son Eli of Era, Texas; her beloved extended cousins; and many, many friends.

Kylie rallied communities in Wichita Falls, Texas, Columbus, Ohio, and everywhere in between during her fight. Her motto, #FaithoverFear," defined her journey and inspired everyone around her to love big and hold tightly to faith, even in the midst of an uncertain future. Kylie helped advance brain cancer treatment, twice serving as the first pediatric patient in the country on new clinical trials at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In true Kylie fashion, her final act was one of generosity — dedicating her tumor to research so that one day other children may never have to fight this battle.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the "Hope for Tomorrow: The Kylie Fund," established through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation to help fund pediatric brain cancer research.
