Dr. Lawrence Lyford of Wichita Falls passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, February 26, 2022 at First Baptist Church with Robert Payne officiating

A son of the late Vernon and Nina Lyford, Larry was born on May 12, 1949 in Mason City, Iowa. He went to Iowa State and University of Iowa for medical school. He loved his practice and was seeing grandchildren of patients when we came to Wichita Falls in 1978.

Larry and Kimmye met and married in San Antonio, Texas. He loved being on horseback and the family took many trips for trail rides and driving his Clydesdales.

He is survived by his wife Kimmye; his four children Rebecca Lyford, Joshua Lyford, Hannah Lyford, and Abbye Lyford; a brother Charles Lyford, from Wyoming; two sisters Joyce Koelling of Colorado and Barbara Swanson of California; and two grand-children Summer and Isabella Lyford.
