Linda F. Schaefer stepped into the arms of Jesus, her Savior, on June 4, 2024.Her life was dedicated to her family, church and friends, and she will be remembered for unconditional love, generosity and service to others.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th at Lunn's. Graveside services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8th at the Holliday Cemetery, Holliday, Texas, with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Linda was born to B. D. and Ellen Russell on February 3, 1948 in Jayton, Texas. She graduated from Holliday High School and worked in the banking industry for several years. She married Gary Schaefer on October 21, 1969, and they served the Holliday community together until his death in 2017. They were blessed with a son, Corey, a daughter-in-lay, Myra, and a granddaughter, Clara Schaefer. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and Nana and was very proud of her family. She was also a faithful member of Holliday First Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher, in addition to various other roles of service in her church. Linda was a talented cook and prepared delicious meals and tasty desserts that she shared with others.

Linda is survived by her son, Corey Schaefer of Wichita Falls, TX; Myra and Clara Schaefer of Weimer, TX; sisters, Juanell Turner and Suzanne Russell, both of Holliday, TX, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister, Dorothy Bolch.
