Linda Diane Stuckey Simons, 76, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Rae (Miller) Stuckey Pitts and Curtis Marvin Stuckey, Jr. She was born on March 24, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A proud Hirschi Husky, she was a member of the first graduating class of Hirschi High School in 1966. She continued her education at Midwestern University, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to family, faith and community.

Linda began her career at First National Bank in downtown Wichita Falls, where fate led her to the love of her life, Charles Simons, when she went through his checkout line at Piggly Wiggly. In 1967, they were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, embarking on a 26-year journey as a military family. Linda embraced the opportunities and challenges of military life, making a home in Germany, Texas, Virginia, Mississippi, North Carolina and Kansas. Upon Charles' retirement, they returned to Wichita Falls, where they cherished being surrounded by family.

Linda's creativity and passion for beautification were evident throughout her professional and personal endeavors. She thrived as an interior designer with Home Interiors, served as an image consultant with BeautiControl and found joy as a wedding coordinator. Her artistic touch shone through as she lovingly arranged flowers for her daughter's and granddaughter's weddings, as well as for many cherished events. Her warm, generous spirit and servant's heart were evident in her lifelong dedication to helping others.

Linda was known for her amazing hugs, capable of brightening the gloomiest days, and her infectious laugh, which filled every room with joy. She approached life with adventure and spontaneity, embracing every opportunity that came her way. From egg rolls to lasagna, she could put a Texas spin on any meal and was famous for her BLTs — bites, licks and tastes. While she may not have been the most tech-savvy, she made every effort to stay connected through her signature "Texas messages" and social media. Above all, her love for family was at the very core of her being, and she treasured every moment spent with those she held dear. She was deeply devoted to her role as Nana, attending every milestone – plays, sporting events and game nights – and offering unwavering love and support through both joys and challenges.

A dedicated parishioner and active volunteer at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Linda enriched her community through leadership roles, including the Officers' Wives Club, serving as president of Business Professional Women and being an esteemed member of the Altar Society. She found joy in decorating, gardening, repurposing treasured finds and spending quality time with family – each hobby reflecting her vibrant, joyful approach to life. Above all, her greatest love was for her husband of 57 years, Charles Simons, with whom she shared a remarkable journey.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents her sister, Sandi Beavers, and her step-father, Archie Pitts, along with many aunts, uncles and loved ones. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles; her children – Paul Mark Simons (and his husband, Reid B. Hughes Jr. "Buddy"), Shelly Martin, and Becky Batman (and her husband, Clint Batman); her grandchildren who called her Nana — Christopher Charles Simons, Josh Eastman, Josh Martin, Channing Martin, Savannah Ruflin(and her husband Joseph Ruflin)and Ashton Batman; her brother, Marvin Stuckey (and his wife, Kim Stuckey); her in-laws and "outlaws," as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends whose lives she touched.

Her boundless love, vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to family and community will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Linda – your hugs, smile, laughter, adventurous spirit and deep love of family continue to inspire us all.

A Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday February 27th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, 2812 Midwestern Pkwy, Wichita Falls, TX. Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 11am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 2601 Lansing Blvd., Wichita Falls, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
