Loretta J. (Bowerman) Ritchie, 85, of Iowa Park, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Inurnment alongside her husband C. J. Ritchie will take place at a later date at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.

A daughter of the late Minnie Alice (Vehon) and Harvey Preston Bowerman, Loretta was born on February 13, 1939, in Nocona, Texas.

She married C.J. Ritchie on June 24, 1954. She held many different jobs as she raised her family and traveled with her husband while he was in the Air Force. She then earned her Bachelor of Arts and Science from Midwestern State University in Business Management while working as a training specialist to the Air Force as a civilian. Hobbies included crafts, painting, and sewing. She enjoyed making quilts for children in hospitals, volunteering with her local church working in the clothes closet, and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Along with her parents, Loretta was also preceded in death by her husband, C. J. Ritchie; brothers James Bowerman and Jack Bowerman, sisters Kathryn Jo Roberts and Sandra DeMoss.

She is survived by her brother John Bowerman and wife Grace; her daughters, Karen Hall and husband Jon, Alice Cipolla and husband Frank, Brenda Rainbolt and husband L.B., and Melinda Whitley and husband James; grandchildren Joy Perry and husband Nick, Heather Young, Hanna Cipolla, Sara Cipolla and husband Kirby Carter, T.J. Rainbolt and wife Rachel, Macy Rainbolt, Anthony Rainbolt and wife Jordyn, Ramona Rainbolt, R.J. Rainbolt, Michael Whitley and wife Jody; great grandchildren Calvin Driscoll, Cole Driscoll, Sophia Perry, Jason Young, Jonathan Young, Kya Carter, Lane Carter, Preston Rainbolt, Cole Rainbolt, and Evelyn Whitley. And many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
