On August 16, 2021, Lorri Lynn Blackman Savage (59) of Iowa Park, TX peacefully transitioned from time to eternity before our Lord Jesus Christ while traveling through Tennessee.

Lorri was preceded by her brother Lysle "Mark" Blackman Jr. and father Lysle Mark Blackman Sr. in 1989. She leaves behind a husband, Vince Savage of Iowa Park, TX, mother Mildred Blackman of Wichita Falls, TX, brother David Blackman of Wichita Falls, TX, brother Matthew Blackman of Irving, TX, sister Charlene Furrh and brother-in- law John Furrh of Kennesaw Georgia, brother-in-law Gary Savage and wife Kelley Savage of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

Lorri was born on February 13, 1962 at Vandenberg AFB in California.  Being part of a career military family, she traveled all over the country and settled in Wichita Falls and eventually, Iowa Park, TX.  She was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. Above all, she was a Christian. There were so many things Lorri loved and they included serving others, volunteering  for special needs children, traveling, holidays, friends, cooking, dining out, adventuring, her animals, the lake, her family and most important, her loving husband and best friend Vince Savage.  Lorri and Vince Savage spent 41 years together and were married on March 02, 1985 in Wichita Falls. They had a lifetime love and friendship. They were two peas in a pod as they say, keeping each other entertained by laughter and common interest. Lorri said Vince was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. When you saw one of them, the other wasn't far behind.

Lorri had a big heart for others and loved greatly. She wouldn't hesitate to give someone a helping hand. She had the gift of hospitality and loved cooking and having friends over for meals and great conversation.  She especially loved holiday dinners with family, making great burritos, enchiladas and other yummy things to share. Staying the night over at their house became like an old fashioned sleepover, just sitting on the bed and telling stories with massive amounts of laughter.  Lorri was a natural born storyteller seeing humor in much of life's calamities. She loved all of her dogs from the bottom of her heart and was blessed to have many throughout her life.

Lorri was a lifelong insurance claim professional working for Employers Insurance of Texas, GAB, Wichita Falls ISD, & Work Services Corporation. She also was an entrepreneur creating and running Signature Claims Services for many years. She and her husband retired in the past couple of years and dreamed of travel.

Lorri leaves a massive hole in our hearts and soul and will be deeply missed. Those who are greatly loved shall be greatly missed. Thankfully, it is not goodbye because God's Word promises us that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). The Gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). God's word is faithful and we look forward to the hope of a glorious reunion with Lorri and others who have gone before us!
