Lowell E. Tate, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

A son of the late Opal Louise (Douglas) and O.M. Tate, Lowell was born on February 12, 1946, in Wichita Falls. He was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School and enjoyed a long career with Meads Fine Bread.

Lowell enjoyed his old cars, a T-bucket rodster and later his 1941 Oldsmobile called the Awesome Possum.  He and Donna enjoyed many street rod car shows and just riding around in his old cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Along with his parents, Lowell was also preceded in death by his brother Jimmie M. Tate.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Donna Tate; daughter Tanya Wyatt and husband Jimmy, son Brad Tate and wife Katy; 2 grandchildren, Alyssa Evans and husband Terrell; and Brayden Wyatt and wife Huntlee; 2 great grandchildren, Jolie Evans and Truett Evans.
