Lupe Ramirez Valdez was born on December 9, 1931, in Knox County, Texas, and passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Wichita Falls.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. A Private graveside service will be held under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Lupe married the love of her life, Ignacio on May 10, 1948. They were married for 67 years before his passing on June 11, 2015. One daughter and three sons were born to this union.

After moving to Wichita Falls, Lupe worked for Ponds Cleaners, Scotts Manufacturing and Seimens. She retired in 1991 and happily played the role of grandmother. Lupe was a long time member of the Assembly of God Church.

Lupe was also preceded in death by her husband, Ignaico Valdez; son, Louis Valdez; father, Ynocencio Ramirez; her mother, Mercedes Fernandez Ramirez; three sisters, Margaret Valladarez, Chencha Barboza and Cuca Lopez; and 5 brothers, Claudio Ramirez, Sr., Pefanio Ramirez, Tacho Ramirez, Roman Ramirez and Daniel Ramirez

Lupe is survived by one daughter, Rosemary Valdez Rivera; two sons, Joe Valdez (Rosa) and Danny Valdez (Kelli). She is also survived by one sister, Pauline Pedroza; four brothers, David Ramirez (Amelia), Victor Ramirez (Minnie), Eugene Ramirez (Dora) and Richard Ramirez; 8 grandchildren, Ray Cross (Penni), Rick Rivera (Melissa). Amanda Rivera, Kristian Valdez (Allyson), Katrina Green (David), Melanie Bills (Kevin), Ashley Castro (Richard) and Matthew Valdez; and by 12 great grandchildren.

Lupe loved everyone but especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to spoil them and surround them with lots of hugs. She loved to cook and would always make sure you never left empty handed from her home. Lupe will be greatly missed and her departure has left a big empty hole in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would also like to thank the staffs of Advance Rehab and Hospice of Wichita Falls for all the love and care that was given to our mother. There are too many to name but you know who you are and we can never thank you enough for your love and support. It meant a lot to us and it made the last few months a little easier.
