Marian Aileen Geary, 88, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.  The funeral service  will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace on May 29, 2021.  The family will receive guests beginning at 10:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am.

Marian was the daughter of the late Selma (Johnson) and Marion Claude Kenfield and was born on March 24, 1933 in Columbus, Montana.  She was raised in Anaconda, Montana and graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Nursing.  While working as a nurse in Butte, Montana she met the love of her life James Geary and they were married on July 10, 1955 and shared 66 years together.

Marian lived a wonderful and full life raising a large family and being a devoted wife.. Living in several states during her life she made friendships wherever she was that lasted thru her lifetime.  She was a wonderful baker and smells of cinnamon rolls and brownies were a special memory of the six children she raised.  She loved crafting of all kinds.  She was a Girl Scout Troup leader, a Cub Scout leader, PTA President, and a volunteer for several organizations including Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society.  Marian was also very involved in her Church and was a member of the Alter Society and the RCIA.

Along with her parents, Marian was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Burch, and her brother-in-law John Crossman.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Geary, and her children,  Elaine and Alan McKinney, Burkburnett TX;  Mike and Sandra Geary (Harriman WY), Kathleen and Mark Broadway (Graford TX), Tim and Laura Geary (Belton MO), Jim and Josi Geary (Pasco WA), and Molly and Mike Matthews (Wichita Falls TX).  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

The family offers special thanks to the wonderful staff of House of Hope for their exceptional care of our wife and mother during her time there.
