Marian Hart Weir was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She left this world peacefully on December 30, 2023, at the age of 89, in Mesquite, Texas, where she had been residing at Christian Care Center.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th  at Church of the Good Shepherd in Wichita Falls, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Marian was born on July 26, 1934, in Boston, Massachusetts. She later moved with her family to Hartford, Connecticut, where she lived until she graduated from William H. Hall High School. Being a military wife for 18 years, Marian had opportunities to live in many places, Germany included. Her adventures would later take her to Wichita Falls, Texas, where she ran a local sporting goods store for over 15 years. She then furthered her education in the insurance business and worked for both Washington Mutual and MetLife. It was there she made lifelong friends that she always held dear to her heart.

Marian also enjoyed being a two time President of the Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Board, a member of Midtown Now, and received accolades in her business life such as being a Gold Coat Ambassador and recipient of Leadership Conference Award for Insurance on several occasions. She loved the beach, Italian food, and going to the opera. She felt her greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved them wholeheartedly and enjoyed spending every moment with them that she could.

Marian was preceded in death by her son, Charles Miller; mother and father, Harold and Barbara (Dowd) Hart; and sister, Athleen Leahey.

She is survived by many who will miss her, including her children, Barbara Stone and husband Arturo Perez-Reyes of Oakland, California; Diane Shallenberger and husband Michael of Wichita Falls, Texas; Cynthia Murray of Arlington, Texas; and Robert Weir and wife Melanie of Rockwall, Texas. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Troia Reyes-Stone, Rachel Blevins, Maci Heuring and husband Tray, Kaci Magee and husband Brandon, Brooke Chaney, Madelyn Weir, Brinlee Weir, and Michael Christiani. Some of her biggest fans were her great-grandchildren, Cambri, Mason, Hunter, Hutson, Laynie, Lane, Brielle, and Maddox.
