Martha Lou Winfrey, 90, of Wichita Falls, went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, October 24, 2021.  A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30 ^th at Lunn's. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Martha was the third daughter of Georgia and H.C. Brand, born in Wichita Falls.  She graduated from WFHS, and she and Wayne Winfrey were married later that summer. They were married 64 years before his passing. Together they raised their four children: Carl, Cindy, Randy and Kristie. The family enjoyed many happy times at home and at their lake house at Bowie with their grandparents, cousins and friends. Their times at the lake were spent water skiing, fishing, playing tennis, games and making homemade ice cream.

Martha, Wayne and the family were active in the Tenth & Broad Church of Christ. Martha's favorite pastimes were playing tennis, travelling, playing Bridge and entertaining family and friends.  She had a true gift for preparing wonderful dinners and desserts.  She had an artistic flair for flower arranging and decorating.

Martha was an Honorary Life member of the Woman's Forum, enjoying her friends in the Garden Club, Pat Ferguson Group and Gourmet Club.  She had a passion for life, and her family and friends. We will miss her, but she'll always be in our hearts.

Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Wayne; her sister, Marie and brother-in-law J.B. Quillin; her sister June and brother-in-law Bill Daves; and her sister-in-law Faye Raben.

Martha was loved dearly by her surviving family, Carl and Lana, Randy and Linda, Cindy Champion and Kristie and Eric Livingston.  She will be loved and missed by her eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Staff of the Presbyterian Manor Healthcare, Dr. Robert Parkey and Hospice of Wichita Falls for the excellent care they provided for our Mother.
