Mary Jane Berthelot, 86, of Wichita Falls, passed away on April 16, 2022.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on April 23 at First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, TX with Reverend Rod Payne officiating.

A daughter of the late Crawford Garland and Manie Coleman, Mary was born on May 26, 1935, in Overton, Texas. She moved to Arkansas and became church organist for the First Baptist Church in Smackover, Arkansas at age 13 and eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in organ from Ouachita Baptist College in 1957. After moving to Baton Rouge, Louisiana she married Rodney Berthelot and had three children. When the kids had grown and left the home, they felt called to invite three more high school age kids into their home and mentored them into college and beyond. She has eleven grandkids and three great-grandkids.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Berthelot.

She is survived by her three children Charles Berthelot, Perri Whatley, and Ken Berthelot; and additional family Stephen Stringer, Kathy Brown Blair, Kelly Roy Murrie
