Mary Ellen Guice Fish, 91, of Wichita Falls, Texas, departed this earth and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 6, 2023. The eldest daughter of Dove Lena (Brown) and John Olan Guice, Mary entered this earth on July 5, 1931, in Electra, Texas. She attended school in a one-room classroom, and from her early days, she exhibited a sharpness of mind, wit, and intelligence.

After graduating from secretarial school, Mary enjoyed a career in banking in her twenties. She married her Air Force sweetheart Darrell and moved to Minnesota. Darrell and Mary raised two wonderful daughters. When speaking one-on-one with people, Mary often shared fond memories of her childhood, her family's life in Minnesota, her love of Jesus, and her adult years of visiting her family in Texas. Mary's life was full of love for family, friends, and God, which she freely shared with others.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Fish and Carol Fish; husband, Darrell Fish, parents, and her siblings, John David Guice, Kenneth Guice, Don Guice, Frances Butler, Olan Guice, and John Guice.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, March 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Jermyn, Texas.

Mary's extended family wants to thank the caregivers of Healing Hands Healthcare and Hospice for providing care and comfort to Mary. As her family says goodbye, we believe the verses from Exodus 34:2-3, shared with Mary during her last week on this earth, were words of comfort from her God. "Be ready in the morning, and then come up. . . Present yourself to me there on top of the mountain. No one is to come with you."

Her loved ones met her there with God–Together Forever.
