Melissie Lou Cope, 93, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7 ^th at the Burkburnett Cemetery, 920 Bishop Road, Burkburnett, TX 76354, with Chris Swinford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Mary Lee and Joe Stout, Melissie was born on April 1, 1928, in Wichita Falls. She and Herman William Cope were married on November 8, 1946. They were members of Faith Village Church of Christ. Melissie was a registered nurse and worked at Wichita General Hospital and several hospitals in Fort Worth. She loved to travel, fish and eat catfish.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Herman Cope, as well as extended family members.
