Mercedes Arias Flores, 71, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2 ^nd at Lunn's Chapel with Catholic rights given by Our Lady of Guadalupe church. Visitation will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Marcelena (Cedeno) and Trinidad E. Arias, Mercedes was born on April 18, 1949, in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1967.  Midge, as she was lovingly referred to, worked for the City of Wichita Falls in the 1970's as a secretary and continued in various secretarial positions until the late 1980's.  She was a homemaker for many years before returning to the workforce in the cafeteria of Holliday ISD in the late 1990's.  She was a lifetime member of the Optimist Club of Holliday.

Along with her parents, Mercedes was also preceded in death by her brothers Jose Arias and Esequiel Arias; sisters Maria Arias, Lupe Gomez, Dalilah Garcia, Victoria Arias; and great-grandson E.J. Thomas.

She is survived by her sons Alex Arias and partner Lindsay Greer and Juan N. Flores, Jr. and wife Bambi; brother Trino Arias and wife Linda; sister Carmen Deluna; grandchildren DeLaney Arias, Danielle Arias, Kerstin Arias, Braeden Arias, Tanner Arias, Mackinsey Kirby and Tristan Flores; and 8 great-grandchildren.
