Michael David Oswald, 80, of Wichita Falls, went to meet his LORD and Savior on Monday, March 17, 2025.

His celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation following the service.

Mike was born on August 26, 1944, in South Bosque, Texas, to the late Cleva Marie (Henager) and Woodrow Wilson Oswald. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, dedicating his career to military service across Alaska, Arkansas, Thailand, Louisiana, and Africa, before settling in Texas. He retired with numerous medals and military awards, a testament to his dedication and sacrifice. After his military career, Mike dedicated over a decade to Rolling Meadows Retirement Facility, where his leadership and integrity inspired those who worked for him. Out of deep respect for him, they gave their best effort, embodying the values he upheld until his retirement.

In retirement, Mike embraced the simple joys of life—fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and bargain hunting. He loved traveling to visit his children, grandchildren, and dear friends. Mike also found great joy in smoking and grilling meat, bringing family and friends together over good food, laughter, and shared memories.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Bill, Tommy, and Joe Don Oswald, as well as his sister, Linda Ann.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ocie Rhodes Oswald; his daughters, Teri Oswald-Rose and her husband, Jason Rose, along with their children, Ziona Rose, Elijah Rose, and Natalie Rose; and Toni Finnegan, along with her children, Sean and Destin Finnegan, Owen Finnegan, Hailey Miller, and Mary Margaret Finnegan.
