Nora Lee (Qualls) Day, 87, passed away peacefully October 19, 2024, after a long journey with Alzheimer's. She was born August 20, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Rev. Alfred "Vernon" Qualls and Iva Satterfield Qualls. She met and married the Airman of her dreams, Billy Gene Day, in March of 1964 who preceded her in death in 2009. Nora never met a stranger. She loved to talk and her laughter was infectious.  She loved to cook and was great at it!   Black coffee, George Strait (Pure Country), and The Golden Girls were some of her favorites. She had a servant's heart and loved doing for others.  Nora loved her friends and family unconditionally.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Faulkner (Kenneth); her seven grandchildren, Genavie Hodge, Chelsie Unger, Destanie Garcia (Devontay), Cameron Bishop, Courtlynn Schneider (Alexandria), Amber Boldt (Zachary), and Zachery Day; her twenty great grandchildren, Brooke Hodge, Kinsley Hodge, Kora Unger, Rilee Robertson, Afton Ramage, Kyla Unger, Aiden Bryan, A'leiha Garcia, Skyller Ramage, Karlee Unger, Ambrekia Lewis, Audrey Bryan, Zalynn Garcia, Izaiah Garcia, Briella Corrigan, Aubrey Bishop, Aaron Corrigan, Kayden Corrigan, Zoey Boldt, and Jennifer Taylor.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christie Lynn Day; and her siblings, Alfred Perry Qualls, Edna Harris McVicker, and Flora Bee Long (twin sister).

The family visitation and viewing will be at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home located at 2812 Midwestern Parkway, Wichita Falls, TX 76308 on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Nora's celebration of life service will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, October, 25, 2024 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral home.  Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery located at 4441 Southwest Parkway, Wichita Falls, TX 76308.   Pallbearers will be Michael "Mike" McVicker, James "Randy" Long, Devontay Garcia, Ryan McLeran, Rilee Robertson, and Afton Ramage.
