While surrounded by her family, Pamela Ann Vest Haskin, joined her Savior on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Pam was a devoted wife to Wade for almost 41 years, a dedicated mother to Britni and Brian, a mother-in-love to Steven, and a faithful friend and servant to countless others. Pam was born on March 16, 1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Kelvin "Chief" Vest and Judy Warden Vest.

After graduating from Denton High, she went on to purse her degree from a nursing school in Wichita Falls. While working at Bethania Hospital in November of 1977, she met the love of her life, Vinson Wade Haskin. Although Wade didn't realize it was a date, their first date was to Faith Baptist Church. After 4 years of dating, they married at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls on January 3, 1981. In January of 1983 they welcomed their daughter, Britni Paige into the world. In 1986 the family moved to Red Wing, Minnesota, where they later had their son, Brian Cole, in 1987. Pam was a stay-at-home-mom for several years while the kids were younger, and somehow, she always found time to volunteer at church and in the children's schools, even being a teacher at Mother's Day Out in Corsicana, Texas. Over the last 40 years and several moves as a family, Pam worked as a nurse in many different roles. In addition to working as a nurse in various capacities, her nursing career included working as an operating room nurse, nurse staffing coordinator, medical office manager, medical staffing recruiter, advocating for patients, being a caregiver for both of her parents, and running her business, World Wide Nursing Resources.

Some of Pam's favorite things to do were spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed traveling and always had her bags packed and ready-to-go. Some of her most favorite trips were to Kona, Hawaii and Cabo San Lucas. She also loved getting to spend time with her niece and nephew who live near Wichita Falls; she would do just about anything for them, including jumping on the trampoline. Pam enjoyed spoiling her dogs Macy and Kaiser, and her grand-pup, Stella. She loved music, singing, and the power of good lyrics. Pam was not one to turn down a trip to go shopping or to get out on the dancefloor. She and Wade loved to go for drives, browse antique shops, and just seeing where the day would take them.

Pam was loved and known by her family and friends for her incredible amount of selflessness and intentionality. Whether it be advocating for others, surprising you with a special gift, volunteering with local organizations, taking care of her parents, sending an encouraging message or devotional at what seemed to be the perfect time, she consistently demonstrated Christ's self-giving love by setting aside her needs, desires, and wants for the sake of others. She was a good and faithful servant.

Pam was preceded in death by her younger sister Tammie in 1996, her father Kelvin "Chief" in 2010, and her mother Judy in 2015. She is survived by her beloved husband, Wade; her favorite daughter Britni Cady and her husband, Steven; her favorite son Brian Cole Haskin; her brother Brannon Vest and his wife Johnna, along with her nephew Braxton and niece Brinley. Countless family members and dear friends are sure to have heart aching moments as we move through this journey of life wishing Pam were here. We wholeheartedly believe that Pam ran into the arms of the Savior, is singing with the angels, has reunited with loved ones and close friends who have gone before her, and will continue guiding and loving us in spirit, just as she has done for so many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 6 ^th , 2021 at 2:00 p.m at The Week's Mansion located at the corner of 2112 Kell West Boulevard, Wichita Falls, Texas 76309 (Northwest corner of Kell Blvd. and Harrison). The family invites you to wear clothes in shades of red or burgundy or to wear your favorite scarf in memory of Pam.
