Patricia Ann Albertson, 87, of Burkburnett, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2nd at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3rd at The River Assembly of God Church in Burkburnett with Pastor Billy Pike officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Ruth Kathrine (Schibley) and Denis A. Goonen, Patricia was born on July 24, 1937, in LaFayette, Indiana. Patricia married Darrell Albertson in June 1956. She traveled the world with her husband and three daughters serving the United States Air Force for 21 years. They retired at SAFB and lived in Burkburnett and Wichita Falls. She worked many years as a cashier at 9th St Food Store and Albertson's grocery store in Wichita Falls.

She never met a stranger! She was known as "Granny" by everyone that knew and loved her, including several of her regular grocery store customers.  Granny was an avid baker. She made the best pies, desserts, and her famous Christmas cookies (that her children eventually gave the nickname 'Granny's Ugly Sugar Cookies'.) Granny was a very giving person, and always said that it was more blessed to give than to receive.

She called Bingo for 13 years at The Zone in Wichita Falls where she was a member for many years. Many looked forward to her frequent baked goods at The Zone. Granny loved to play cards with family and friends, and was very serious about her Skip-Bo games.

Granny loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was saved in 1968. She currently attended church at The River Assembly of God church in Burkburnett.

She is preceded in death by brother's John, Denis, James, Vernon Jr., and sister Rosemary.

She is survived by daughters Diana Fore (Robert) of Burkburnett, TX, Brynda Baur (Dan) of Katy, TX, Daryl Ann Hodell (Shannon) of Fulshear, TX, and Grandchildren: Matthew Rorabaw (Tiffany), Jeffrey Rorabaw (Maryann), Kristin Hodell (Andrew Kiefer), Travis Fore (Tonya), Kaydee Hodell (Steven Krafft), Haley Visneau (Brandon), Alleigh Sauter (Rhemy), Shane Fore (Laura), Danny Baur (Tammi), and 19 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Rising Sons Boys Ranch in Burkburnett, Texas.
